The DC Extended Universe is back in a big way Over the last decade or so, there have been quite a few DC movies that had their ups and downs. Last year’s ‘The Suicide Squad’ was a decent release (and better than the 2016 movie), while ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ did have its moments.
Now, DC is introducing us to another famous character that has been long overdue for his own movie. The time has come for ‘Black Adam’ to have his big screen glory, which is probably one of the best DCEU movies to date.
In ancient Kahndaq, Teth Adam was bestowed the almighty powers of the gods.
After using these powers for vengeance, he was imprisoned, becoming Black Adam. Nearly 5,000 years have passed, and Black Adam has gone from man to myth to legend.
Now free, his unique form of justice, born out of rage, is challenged by modern-day heroes who form the Justice Society: Hawkman, Dr. Fate, Atom Smasher and Cyclone.

‘Black Adam,’ is without a doubt, one of the best films in the DC Extended Universe. The debut of this famous DC character delivers a lot of explosive action and some intense moments.
The latest DC Comics film adaptation is very exciting and should definitely be seen on the big screen. There are a lot of intense action from beginning to end and there is never a dull moment. The movie has a fantastic opening and also features a quick surprise appearance of a ‘Shazam’ character.
Throughout this DC adaptation, there are numerous stand-out moments. Dwayne Johnson does an awesome job as the title character. In fact, Johnson was the one to keep this project going after the few years it had been in development. A lot of the characters have their own stand-out moments and even steal the show in some cases.
The Atom Smasher and Cyclone characters have some cool fun moments and Hawkman is a cool character. Pierce Brosnan did an astounding job as Kent Nelson (a.k.a. Dr. Fate). The character is the most experienced member of the Justice Society and I hope we get to see these characters again soon.
The visual effects in the movie are really incredible and the visually compelling conclusion is one of the best endings ever for a DC release. Honestly, if they take their time with the DC movies from here on out and make them just as good as this movie, it could make the DC Extended Universe even grander.

So, come on down and see this awesome DC movie on the big screen. And, make sure to stick around for the mid-credit scene for a special appearance that you won’t want to miss (even though the mid-credit surprise was leaked prior to its release).
The cast: Johnson as Black Adam/Teth Adam; Aldis Hodge as Hawkman/Carter Hall; Noah Centino as Atom Smasher/Al Rothenstein; Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone/Maxine Hunkel; Marwan Kenzari as Ishmael; Sarah Shahi as Adrianne Tomaz; Bodhi Sabongui as Amon Tomaz and Brosnan as Dr. Fate/Kent Nelson, among a couple familiar DCEU character appearances.
‘Black Adam’ is written by Adam Sztykiel (Rampage; Scoob!), Rory Haines (The Mauritanian) and Sohrab Noshirvani (The Mauritanian) and directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (Jungle Cruise; The Commuter; Non-Stop).
‘Black Adam’ is rated PG-13 for sequences of strong violence, intense action and some language and has a running time of 125 minutes.
