I am a freelance columnist for the Wyoming County Examiner. Every week I work on at least four to five reviews a week for the Examiner. Spanning from first/second run films featured at the Dietrich Theater to film festival selections to special movie events. Occasionally I will be checking out a few throwback reviews that coincide with what other films I will be checking out for the Wyoming County Examiner - except for some series that I work on!

Always looking for action, five over-enthusiastic but under-stimulated Vermont State Troopers raise hell on the highway, keeping motorists anxiously looking in their rear-view mirrors. When Big Mama the owl, Boomer the woodpecker, and Dinky the finch find an orphaned young red fox, they arrange for it to be adopted by Widow Tweed, who names him Tod. At the same time, Widow Tweed’s neighbor Amos Slade adopts a hound puppy called Copper. As they grow, Tod and Copper become best friends despite the fact that they are natural enemies. Their friendship is torn apart, however, when Slade and his dog Chief take Copper into the wilderness to train him to be a top hunting dog. When Copper returns, they can no longer be friends as Copper has been trained to hunt foxes like Tod. After Copper lets Tod go, Chief chases Tod and is injured, leaving Widow Tweed no choice but to leave Tod in a game preserve. When he readjusts to life in the wild with Big Mama and falls in love with Vixey, Copper and Slade enter into the preserve, intent on hunting Tod down once and for all. Their final showdown illustrates the true and eternal bonds of friendship.
