Plot: Danny Noonan, a teen down on his luck, works as a caddy at the snob-infested Bushwood Country Club to raise money for his college education. In an attempt to gain votes for a college scholarship reserved for caddies, Noonan volunteers to caddy for a prominent and influential club member. Meanwhile, Danny struggles to prepare for the high pressure Caddy Day golf tournament while absorbing New Age advice from wealthy golf guru Ty Webb.

The 1980 comedy classic ‘Caddyshack’ is a hysterical comedy that is sure to really crack you up!!

With a cast that includes Chevy Chase, Rodney Dangerfield and Bill Murray you can’t go wrong. Almost all of the scenes that are featured in the movie are guaranteed to make you laugh.

This 80s comedy has so many memorable moments and is also one of the most quotable movies out there. Out of all the extremely funny moments in this movie, it’s hard to figure out which one is the absolute funniest!

And, of course, who can’t forget the scene-stealing gopher? The scenes that feature Bill Murray’s grounds-keeper character trying to get the gopher are just comic genius. In fact, the whole movie is comedy genius.

Here are some interesting tidbits about 1980s ‘Caddyshack’:

• Carl Spackler was originally a silent character in the script, in the manner of Harpo Marx, but after Bill Murray was cast, Ramis encouraged Murray to speak and improvise.

• Murray improvised the “Cinderella story” sequence from two lines of stage direction. Ramis simply asked Murray to imagine himself announcing his own fantasy sports moment. Murray simply asked for four rows of mums and did the scene. *** ONE OF THE FUNNIEST BITS IN THE MOVIE!!!***

• The movie was inspired by writer/co-star Brian Doyle Murray’s memories working as a caddy at a golf club. His brother Bill Murray and Ramis also worked as caddies when they were teens.

• Final film of ‘Mary Tyler Moore’ actor Ted Knight.

• The noises that the Gopher makes are actually vocalized by a dolphin, and the dolphin sound effects used are the same ones that were used for ‘Flipper.’

• Premiere voted this movie as one of “The 50 Greatest Comedies Of All Time” in 2006.

• The scene that begins when Ty Webb’s golf ball crashes into Carl Spackler’s shack wasn’t in the original script. It was added by Ramis after realizing that two of his biggest stars, Chase and Murray (who previously didn’t get along due to a feud back to their SNL days, but were at least tolerant and pros towards each other while on set), until then, didn’t appear in a scene together,

• There was a sequel, ‘Caddyshack II’ (1988), which did poorly at the box office and is considered one of the worst sequels of all time.
