The 2022 remake of ‘Cheaper By The Dozen’ did show some promise just from looking at its trailer. The idea of making the titular family blended was a good idea and the movie also briefly tackles the topic of bullying - another big issue that is sadly still going on today.
Even though it does have a few moments that can give you a slight chuckle here and there, the new remake/reboot doesn’t have as many laughs as the previous 2003 remake with Steve Martin. Zach Braff, who plays the father, can be a little funny. But, not as funny as when he was on the ‘Scrubs’ sitcom.
Hopefully, sometime, Disney will create a remake or reboot for their streaming platform that is actually good (still haven’t see ‘Home Sweet Home Alone’ yet). The remake can currently be streamed on Disney Plus, along with the 2003 remake and its sequel.

The second remake of the 1950 film - the first was in 2003 with Steve Martin.
In 2016, it was reported that ‘Black-ish’ creator Kenya Barris would work with 20th Century Fox on a potential remake. On August 6, 2019, following the Fox/Disney acquisition, Disney CEO Bob Iger announced that a reboot was in development for Disney Plus.
Additionally, the movie was moved to Walt Disney Pictures from 20th Century Studios, making it the third 20th Century Studios movie to do so during production after ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid’ and ‘The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild.’
