Fall is a recent movie that was released last year as a moderate release and the trailers looked rather interesting and fun. The other night I finally had the chance to watch it and boy does this movie get your adrenaline really pumping!!!

This little thriller really delivers the suspense and some stomach-churning moments. And those moments aren't from any blood and gore. There are quite a few moments where the two characters are looking down from the top of the tower as they're stranded and when you see those POV shots, man it's both awesome and gives you a little fear of heights. All I can say is I'm sure watching those scenes on the big screen would've been a majorly different cinematic experience.

There may be a couple scenes that might slow the movie down just a little bit, but not too much. Just seeing them try to figure out what to do while they are stranded is a little nerve-wracking and there's a little twist that really catches you off guard!

Fall is definitely a movie that should be checked out! I was able to watch it through my STARZ add-on but it's also available to rent through Redbox and various other platforms!

Here are a couple little tidbits for this tense, vertigo-inducing movie!

  • The filmmakers had considered green screen or digital sets, but ultimately opted for the real thing. They decided to build the upper portion of the tower on top of a mountain so that the actors would really appear to be thousands of feet in the air, even though in real life they were never more than 100 feet off the ground.

  • Fall grossed $7.2 million domestic, and $14.6 million in other territories, for a worldwide total of $21.8 million, against a $3 million budget.

  • Following the popularity of the film's VOD/streaming release, a sequel was announced to be in development in March 2023. In October 2023, it was revealed that TWO sequels were concurrently in development. It's not known at this time whether they are direct sequels to the 2022 release or a separate story.
