‘Fast Five’ ended up being the game changer for the franchise. The main focus of turning it into a heist-related movie really worked and made the fifth installment one of the best sequels in the series. This time around, the sixth installment slightly changes course and turns into more of a spy adventure. And, again, it works!

The action-packed moments featured in the movie are very energetic and thrilling. Bringing the Letty character back after initially being killed off in the fourth movie was stretching it a bit much. But, it brought the ‘Fast’ family back together.

‘Fast and Furious 6’ is really-fast-paced and the ending sequence is really awesome - even though it features a runway that doesn’t ever seem to end!!!

Here are some interesting tidbits about ‘Fast and Furious 6’:

  • The tank chase was originally planned to be created via CGI, but director Justin Lin insisted that it had to be done practically with some post-production enhancements.

  • Following Paul Walker’s death on November 30, 2013, Universal announced that a portion of the profits from the movie’s Blu-ray/DVD sales would be donated to Walker’s charity Reach Out Worldwide.

  • Allegedly, more than 100 cars were crashed, wrecked or otherwise destroyed in the process of filming.

  • The third ‘Fast and Furious’ movie to end on a cliffhanger.

  • ‘Fast and Furious 6’ earned $239 million in North America and $550 million elsewhere for a worldwide total of $789 million.
