‘Fear Street: Part Two - 1978’ is the second entry of the Netflix Original trilogy. The beginning is a quick recap of the ‘1994’ installment and quickly gets right into the action of ‘1978,’ which dives more into the watch subplot of ‘1994.’

Even though ‘1994’ did have some scary moments, the second movie really ups the ante with the scares and more of the gore. The “witch” subplot gets really interesting and hooks you right in.

There are also quite a few moments in the movie that are really tense. It all leads up to a real chilling conclusion that goes right into the third entry of the Netflix trilogy. Right before the credits begin to roll, you get a tease of what’s to come for the third movie and it looks really awesome!

So, if you’re looking for some fast-paced scares and chills, make sure to check out ‘Fear Street: Part Two - 1978’ on Netflix. And, within the next week or so, I will be checking out the third and final entry - ‘1666.’

Here are a few interesting tidbits about Netflix’s ‘Fear Street: Part Two - 1978’:

• Although this is the second film in the ‘Fear Street’ trilogy, it was actually filmed last, after ‘1994’ and ‘1666.’

• “Camp Nightwing” is a reference to the setting of the ‘Fear Street’ book ‘Lights Out,’ although the plots are different.

• Composers Marco Metrami and Brandon Roberts make tributes to some classic horror movie scores, including ‘The Omen’ and ‘Alien,’ both composed by legendary composer Jerry Goldsmith. They’re also hints to the ‘Friday the 13th’ score.
