Plot: On Halloween night, three young women and their respective boyfriends head to Hell Fest - a ghoulish traveling carnival that features a labyrinth of rides, games and mazes. They soon face a bloody night of terror when a masked serial killer turns the horror theme park into his own personal playground.

‘Hell Fest’ is a fun slasher flick that is extremely entertaining. This underrated horror flick delivers a lot of great scares and chills that should satisfy any horror fan.

The 2018 horror movie also features a few grisly kills and quite a few shocking moments that could make you jump.

The movie’s concept is really scary and will really keep you glued to the screen! One of the most stand out (and creepy) sequences is towards the end when the killer is chasing two of the girls through one of the mazes at the attraction. Definitely very suspenseful and tense!

The conclusion of the horror flick leaves it wide open for more potential movies. And, with how creative this “under the radar” horror movie is, this could potentially become a great horror franchise if done right.

Here are a few interesting tidbits about ‘Hell Fest’:

• Most of the decorations used on the set were borrowed from Six Flags Over Georgia’s Fright Fest decorations.

• Many of the characters walking around Hell Fest in the beginning are from Netherworld Haunted House in Georgia. Netherworld is in the top ten haunted attractions in the USA.

• The plot of this movie is very similar to that of the 1981 movie ‘The Funhouse.’ Both movies also have similar taglines. ‘Hell Fest’ is “Fun Getting in. Hell Getting Out.” ‘Funhouse’ is “Pay to get in. Pray to get out.”

• In December 2011, CBS Films entered negotiations with director Neil Marshall to direct, with the hopes of spawning a yearly franchise akin to ‘Paramount Activity’ and ‘Saw.’

• ‘Hell Fest’ started filming in Atlanta, GA and at Six Flags White Water in late February 2018, and wrapped on April 13, 2018.

• Numerous writers and directors have been either attached or worked on the project over the years.

• ‘Hell Fest’ has grossed $11.1 million in the US and Canada, and $7 million in other territories, for a worldwide gross of $18.1 million, against a production budget of $5.5 million.
