*** UPDATED LOOK! Just the other night I was able to stream this on Netflix and it was the first time in years since I have seen My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2. Granted, it's not as funny as the 2002 original, this sequel is still a lot of fun to watch. There are quite a few little twists and turns in the story that are interesting and helps keep the movie going! The father is still one of the best characters in this movie and seeing where he tries to learn how to use a computer is simply hysterical! And the wedding at the end ... not spoiling who gets married if you haven't seen it ... is a nice little touch! Catch my full review of My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3 Wednesday 9/20!***
*** The following is my initial review of the 2016 sequel that I worked on for the Examiner back in the day!***

In the Universal Pictures presentation of "My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2," Toula and Ian's daughter, Paris, is just getting ready to graduate high school and move on to the college life. Lately, Toula and Ian have been experiencing some marital troubles.
But, while all that is going on, a huge family secret is revealed and even a bigger Greek wedding has to be planned.
"Greek Wedding 2" is a sweet, funny movie that audiences will more than likely enjoy. The jokes that are in the comedic sequel are quite amusing. Sure, there are a few gags that could have been a little better. But, with the warm-hearted moments that the film offers and the many laughs at occur, "My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2" is definitely an amusing, hysterical film that should not be missed. And, if you are a fan of the 2002 original feature film, then I am certain that you will love the sequel.
Actress Nia Vardalos reprises her "Greek Wedding" role of Toula Portokalos-Miller and also wrote the sequel's screenplay. Vardalos has recently appeared in "My Life in Ruins," "I Hate Valentine's Day" and a few other independent features.
Most of the original "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" cast has returned. Some of them include: John Corbett (The Boy Next Door) as Ian Miller, Elena Kampouris (The Cobbler) as Paris Miller, Lainie Kazan (Pixels) as Maria Portokalos, Michael Constantine (My Big Fat Greek Wedding) as Gus Portokalos and many others. "My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2" is directed by Kirk Jones, who has also directed "Nanny McPhee," "Everybody's Fine" and "What to Expect When You're Expecting."
Talks of a "Greek Wedding" sequel have been on and off for years. Actress/screenwriter Nia Vardalos officially confirmed on Twitter on May 2014 that a sequel was in the works. Principal photography for the long-awaited sequel began on May 10, 2015 in Toronto and ended on June 28.
"My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2" is rated PG-13 for some suggestive material and has a running time of 94 minutes.
