The 1992 Joe Pesci comedy ‘My Cousin Vinny’ is an enjoyable comedy that you do not want to miss!
In most of his scenes, Pesci’s wise-cracking remarks will have you laughing really hard. There are many moments in the movie that are just downright hysterical! There is even a moment where Pesci and Tomei go to a diner and all it says on the menu is - Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. Small menu huh. Pesci also does a good job in the scenes where he has to be a serious lawyer. Tomei, even though she did okay in this movie, didn’t really earn the Oscar that she actually got for her role.
‘My Cousin Vinny’ is definitely one of those comedies that you have to check out and not miss. It’s currently streaming on HBO Max!

The American Bar Association’s publication, the ABA journal, ranked the movie No. 3 on its list of the “25 Greatest Legal Movies.”
The misunderstanding between Gambini and Haller regarding the two “youts” (youths) was in fact a real conversation between Pesci and director Jonathan Lynn. Lynn, who is British, at first had a hard time understanding Pesci’s pronounced New York accent. He decided that the routine was quite funny and put it in the movie.

With a budget of 11 million, ‘My Cousin Vinny’ was more successful than anticipated, grossing $53 million domestically and $11 million internationally, bringing its overall worldwide total to $64 million.
