'No Time' offers exciting, compelling action

After a long five-year hiatus, the one and only James Bond finally makes his way back to the big screen. This film marks the perfect conclusion of actor Daniel Craig’s tenure as Bond.

In the highly anticipated ‘No Time to Die,’ Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help.

The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.

The 25th James Bond feature is definitely one of the best recent Bond films in the franchise. ‘No Time to Die’ delivers a lot of intense action sequences and a very compelling story. The action in the film is very constant and doesn’t disappoint.

The latest Bond feature is also very character-driven and there are many dramatic moments scattered throughout that helps keep the film going. There is also a good deal of suspense in the film as well. And, to make a change of pace, the one screenwriter (Phoebe Waller-Bridge) incorporated a little bit of humor, which is rare for a Bond film.

Daniel Craig gives his final outing as James Bond all he had. His performance in the film is very amazing and with ending his tenure as Bond on a high note, Craig could be one of the best Bonds in the entire franchise.

All of the exciting action and a great villain leads to a conclusion that you won’t see coming. ‘No Time to Die’ is written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade (both writers of the previous Spectre), Cary Joji Fukunaga (Beast of No Nation; It) and Phoebe Waller-Bridge and also directed by Fukanaga (Beast of No Nation).

Development for this James Bond feature began in early 2006. In February 2018, it was reported that director Danny Boyle was confirmed to direct. During the early development, Boyle ended up departing the film due to disputes over the script.

Production began in March 2019 after production was delayed after Boyle’s departure. ‘No Time to Die’ also marks the seventh screenplay for a Bond movie written by regular Bond screenwriters Neal Purvis and Robert Wade. Their first Bond film was 1999s ‘The World Is Not Enough.’

The latest Bond adventure also had a few release date setbacks. Originally, the film was scheduled for a release in November 2019, but was postponed to February and April 2020 due to the original director’s departure. ‘No Time to Die’ was also the first film to have been pushed back numerous times because of the ongoing pandemic.

The film has earned decent reviews from critics. During its domestic opening weekend, the Bond film earned $56 million and already has a worldwide total of $313.3 million (as

of Oct. 10), with the film opening in some countries the week prior.

‘No Time to Die’ is rated PG-13 for sequences of violence and action, some disturbing images, brief strong language and some suggestive material and has a running time of 163 minutes.
