In the entertaining family feature from Universal and Illumination ‘Sing 2,’ can-do koala bear Buster Moon and his all-star cast of animal performers prepare to launch a dazzling stage extravaganza in the glittering entertainment capital of the world.

There’s just one little hitch — Moon has to find and persuade the world’s most reclusive rock star to join them.

What begins as Buster’s dream of big-time success soon becomes an emotional reminder of the power of music to heal even the broken heart.

‘Sing 2’ is a must-see animated film that all families should check out. The follow-up to the 2016 smash hit delivers a lot of fun moments and, just like the previous movie, lots of amazing music. Throughout the course of the movie, there are a few segments that can be dramatic and a little emotional. All of the characters that fans of the first movie fell in love with are back and this time around have some new friends to join them (including reclusive rock star Clay Calloway voiced by the one and only Bono). The Clay Calloway character steals the show with some of the singing moments and his tragic back-story, which involves his now-deceased wife and how that’s the reason he does not sing anymore.

The entire family should take a time out and check out this highly entertaining animated flick. The music is amazing. The animation is incredible. And, quite a few moments will make the viewing audience laugh and have a good time!

The cast: Matthew McConaughey (The Gentlemen) as Buster Moon; Reese Witherspoon (Apple TV’s The Morning Show) as Rosita; Taron Egerton (Rocketman) as Johnny; Tori Kelly as Meena; Nick Kroll (The Addams Family 2) as Gunter; Garth Jennings as Miss Crawley; Jennifer Saunders (Isn’t It Romantic) as Nana; Chelsea Peretti (the recently canceled Brooklyn Nine-Nine) as Suki; Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow) as Ash; Bobby Cannavale (Tom and Jerry) as Mr. Crystal and Bono as Clay Calloway — among many others.

‘Sing 2’ is written and directed by Gareth Jennings, who also wrote and directed the 2016 movie.

In January 2017, Universal and Illumination Entertainment announced that a sequel was in development. ‘Sing 2’ is production company Illumination’s eleventh feature film. The name of Bono’s character, Clay Calloway, is a tribute for the real-life musician Cab Calloway.

The animated sequel has received rave reviews from critics and audiences and has earned $128 million domestically as of January 23. ‘Sing 2’ is rated PG for some rude material and mild peril/violence and has a running time of 110 minutes.
