‘The Devil All the Time’ is a Netflix Original that can be quite interesting at times and can also be very dark. Throughout the course of the movie, there is a lot going on. But, halfway through it, things slowly come together as some of the plot and the characters start to intertwine.

There are quite a few mysterious moments scattered about and also a few that can give a little bit of a creepy vibe. Even though the movie can be on the slow side at times, it does a great job building up the intensity that some of the scenes offer. There are some scenes that can be rather twisted as well, most of them involve a serial killing couple and a twisted preacher.

Here are some interesting tidbits about Netflix's ‘The Devil All The Time’:

• Robert Pattinson took inspiration for his character by watching videos of televangelists, and pop-stars from the time period.

• The screenplay was adapted from the 2011 novel ‘The Devil All The Time’ from author Donald Ray Pollock, who also voiced the narration in the film. It was the first time he has done any narrating, not even doing the voice work for his own audio books.

• Despite top billing, Tom Holland doesn’t appear until 46 minutes into the film.

• Chris Evans was originally cast as Deputy Lee Bodecker, but had to drop out of the film due to scheduling conflicts.

• Title explanation: they all thought that they were talking to and getting direction from God, but it was The Devil All The Time.

• Principal photography began on February 19, 2019, in Alabama, with filming locations including Blount County, Anniston, Deatsville, Pell City, Birmingham and Montevallo. Filming was completed on April 15, 2019.

• ‘The Devil All The Time’ was released in select theaters on September 11, 2020, and digitally, on Netflix, on September 16, 2020.

• The film was the most watched on Netflix over its first two days, and third overall in its first five days. In November 2020, Variety reported the film was the 22nd most watched straight to streaming title of 2020 up to that point.
