For quite a few years, I have been a big fan of The Conjuring Universe. All of the movies in this franchise does an awesome job bringing on the scares and can be quite intriguing ... maybe except the first Annabelle movie from 2014. Even The Nun really wasn't that bad and I just re-watched The Nun (2018) for the first time in a while a few nights ago.

Not long ago, I finally had the chance to check out this horror sequel The Nun II. And, even though it does have its flaws here and there, this sequel is still really entertaining and is slightly better than its 2018 spin-off.

The Nun II delivers some really good scares and can get really tense. There are quite a few scenes that can make you jump and the once scene that involves the supernatural entity trying to get one of the children on a staircase is one of the scariest moments in the entire movie.

The horror sequel dives into more of the mythology of the Valak character, which makes the character more interesting. I think this is almost a repeat of the Annabelle spin-off series -- the first spin-off is only meh but its sequel is a lot better.

If you stay during the credits, there is a small scene during the middle of the credits that gives you a little tease of either a fourth Conjuring movie (the recently announced Conjuring 4: The Last Rites) or a potential Nun III (which I'm sure will be announced down the road).

Which movie did you enjoy more: The Nun or The Nun II?

Here are some fun tidbits for The Nun II!
