‘Ticket to Paradise’ a delightful comedy

‘Ticket to Paradise’ is a romantic comedy about the sweet surprise of second chances.

A divorced couple teams up and travels to Bali to stop their daughter from making the same mistake they think they made 25 years ago.

This endearing romantic comedy delivers a lot of humorous moments and great chemistry between the main cast (especially between George Clooney and Julia Roberts). Sure, ‘Ticket to Paradise’ may seem formulaic and predictable at times. Yet, this latest romantic comedy also features a few delightful surprises. There are several moments that will really make you laugh hysterically. A good chunk of the laughs come from actress Billie Lourd, who portrays the best friend and roommate of Lily, the daughter of Roberts’ and Clooney’s characters. Lourd can be quite hysterical and absolutely steals the show in most of her scenes. Also, a quick fact about Billie Lourd — she is the daughter of the late Carrie Fisher.

As usual, Clooney and Roberts are incredibly perfect together as the divorced couple trying to stop their daughter’s nuptials. They have outstanding chemistry together and most of their comedic moments are spot on.

‘Ticket to Paradise’ is definitely a great movie to check out for a date night. The audience at a showing I attended really got into the fun that the movie offers. The whole sequence where the divorced couple and their soon-to-be married daughter and son-in-law have themselves a little bit of fun with beer pong. Okay, maybe more than a little bit of fun. You’ll have to see it to see how hilarious it is. And, of course, I have to mention the movie’s scenery. A lot of the scenery is really breath-taking and some of the natural views are just beautiful. So, if you’re looking for a nice little romantic comedy to check out for a date night, head on down to the Dietrich and see ‘Ticket to Paradise’. Filled with great laughs and some good fun, this comedy is an absolute delight!

Here We Go Again’).

The romantic comedy was announced by Universal Pictures in February 2021. Despite the movie having taken place in Bali, it was shot in Queensland, Australia.

This movie also marks the fifth time Clooney and Roberts collaborated together. They previously worked on ‘Ocean’s Eleven,’ ‘Confessions of a Dangerous Mind,’ ‘Ocean’s Twelve’ and ‘Money Monster.’

‘Ticket to Paradise’ is rated PG-13 for some strong language and brief suggestive material and has a running time of 104 minutes.
