The ‘John Wick’ franchise started in 2014 with the simply titled ‘John Wick.’ After the unexpected success of the first movie, a new action series was born and the two following sequels just got bigger and better.

Now, John Wick is back for another round of revenge and ‘Chapter 4’ might just be one of the best action movies released in recent years.

In the awesome action-packed ‘John Wick: Chapter 4,’ John Wick uncovers a path to defecting The High Table.

But before he can earn his freedom, Wick must face off against a new enemy with powerful alliances across the globe and forces that turn old friends into foes.

Let’s get this out of the way: ‘John Wick 4’ might just be, not only the best sequel in the series, but possibly one of the best action movies released in a long time.

The latest in the series does an incredible job delivering the amazing action sequences and the action-packed moments are incredibly shot.

Now, the ‘Wick’ movies are known for its action and a few of the sequences can be slightly over-the-top. But, some of the over-the-top action scenes can still be loads of fun. The fourth movie’s non-stop action is honestly some of the best action in the entire series. Each action scene gets more and more intense, especially when it gets closer to the end of the movie.

Like I stated before, some of the action is shot perfectly and the action choreography is on point with this movie. There is a sequence during the latter half of the movie where you see John Wick doing his thing with other assassins and there is an overhead shot that is practically a one-take action sequence. That scene right there is one of my absolute favorites of the entire series.

The cast worked really well together just like the previous entries. The MVP of this sequel is definitely Donnie Yen, who plays Caine the blind High Table assassin. Yes, you read that right — a BLIND assassin. All his fight scenes are astounding and are one of the many highlights of this movie.

Overall, ‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ delivers some of the best action in the entire series. It’s really intense and a tad brutal at times. And, even though the running time of the movie is nearly ten minutes from being 3 hours long, it goes by fast. So, make sure to check out this intense action-packed entry of the series on the big screen!

The cast: Keanu Reeves as John Wick; Laurence Fishburne as Bowery King; Clancy Brown as Harbinger; Ian McShane as Winston; the late Lance Reddick as Charon; Marko Zaror as Chidi; Bill Skarsgard as Marquis; Rina Sawayama as Akira; Hiroyuki Sanada as Simazu; Natalia Tene as Katia; Scott Adkins as Killa; Shamier Anderson as Mr. Nobody and Donnie Yen as Caine.

The latest John Wick movie is written by Shay Hatten (John Wick 3 — Parabellum; Netflix’s Army of the Dead) and Michael Finch (American Assassin) and directed by Chad Stahelski (John Wick 1-3).

John Wick Chapter 4’ is rated R for pervasive strong violence and language and has a running time of 169 minutes.
