In the 2019 holiday comedy ‘Last Christmas,’ nothing seems to go right for young Kate, a frustrated Londoner who works as an elf in a year-round Christmas shop.

But things soon take a turn for the better when she meets Tom - a handsome charmer who seems too good to be true.

As the city transforms into the most wonderful time of the year, Tom and Kate’s growing attention turns into the best gift of all - a Yuletide romance.

‘Last Christmas’ is a movie that does feature some cliched moments and some that can be rather predictable. But, despite what some of the heavily mixed reactions were when the movie was initially released in November 2019, it really is a good watch.

This 2019 movie delivers some moments that can be truly heart-felt and can give you a few good laughs here and there. ‘Last Christmas’ is one of those movies that can make you laugh, maybe tear up a little (especially towards the end) and laugh a little bit more.

During the first part of the movie, we follow Kate (or Katarina) as we see her life falling apart and trying to crash at different places every night. Once Kate does end up meeting Tom, she does turn her life around for the better, and numerous feel-good moments follow.

As we get to know Tom, Kate learns that he does alot of volunteer work at a homeless shelter and tries to get her to change her life for the best. And, surprisingly all of this helps her life out and starts to live life more positively. We also get to see more about Kate’s illness and how it got her to live life the way she was living during the beginning moments of the movie.

Sure, most people could likely figure out the “twist” of the story from the trailers and the title of the song “Last Christmas.” But, honestly, you can enjoy this movie so much, the “twist” can still catch you by surprise! Also, if you enjoy the music by the late George Michael, you will really love this movie’s soundtrack!
