“Last Breath” is a recent release that has been on my radar for some time. Initially released at the end of February, the trailer for this film really piqued my interest. Now, with it currently being available to stream on Peacock, it’s finally time to check this out!

A heart-pounding film that follows seasoned deep-sea divers as they battle the raging elements to rescue their crewmate trapped hundreds of feet below the ocean’s surface.

Based on a true story, “Last Breath” is an electrifying story about teamwork, resilience, and a race against time to do the impossible.

This is definitely one of those films that got lost in the shuffle of other films released around the same time and didn’t perform that well at the box office. “Last Breath” delivers a good amount of emotion and is quite suspenseful at times (especially once their crewmate becomes trapped).

This 2025 film really knows how to keep you on the very edge of your seat as they are trying to desperately rescue the trapped crewmate. And, throughout the latter half of this film, “Last Breath” gives us a truly effective depiction of the dangers faced by saturation divers every day.

The film really builds the tension even more once we see the ticking timer appear on the screen which depicts the trapped crewmates' dwindling oxygen level. “Last Breath” is easily one of those films that makes you feel for all the characters involved with the rescue and at one point you can actually feel just as helpless as these characters.

While watching the characters do what they can during the rescue, your anxiety can really get going - which shows how effective this film can really be. Due to the realistic depiction of the rescue, I literally couldn’t take my eyes away from the screen!

With the incredible acting (which helps with the raw and heartbreaking portrayal of their struggles), the emotional, suspense-filled moments and an effectively, incredible ending, “Last Breath” is a film that everyone should see at least once and is highly recommended!
